A Crown to Make!

A crown on your head feels just right, doesn't it?

Sometimes, in this world, crowns can be hard to come by.
So, here's a crown you can make yourself from paper!

Print the image below. (Click on the image to open a PDF to print.)
Printing on card stock will make it last much longer.

Decorate your crown however you'd like. Use crayons,

colored pencil,

markers, or anything else you might have!

We had brothers with us, so they colored with colors they thought Princely and masculine,
like steel gray!

Your Mom can make one, too!

When your crown is colored to your liking, cut it out

and try it on your  head

Clip where the dotted line is on the front of the crown

clip a little way down between the first and second scallop on the back piece

Place the ends of both pieces together with the decorated sides facing the same direction

Slide the slit in the front of the crown over the slit in the back piece.
The tabs go to the back.

make the crown into a circle and slide the other two ends together. Make sure the tabs are on the inside of the crown.

Try the crown on. Is is the right size? If so, great! if not, that's what the scallops are for.

You can make the crown smaller by making a slit farther along the back piece

 Then put  it on again.

When the crown is the right size, tape the tabs on the inside of the crown.

and wear it!

while you climb

and tumble, and go about your day.

Then make more!

And more!
